Gijima Learnerships

Unemployed black South Africans aged between 18 and 35 with a grade 12 certificate have the opportunity of applying for one of the learnerships offered by Gijima.

Registered with the MICT SETA, Gijima offers learnerships at NQF levels 3,4,5, and 6. These occupational-based learning programmes combine theory and practice, culminating in a national qualification’s framework registered qualification.

Leaners undergo a rigorous screening, assessment, and interviewing process before being chosen for a specific learnership.

Those chosen for a 12-month learnership contract also receive a monthly stipend from Gijima. Once they pass their training at the Gijima ICT Skills Development Training Centre in Midrand, they receive a national qualification registered on the NQF and are then placed for workplace experience and assigned to a dedicated mentor during this time.
