Leads Gijima with a major focus to implement and transform Gijima, accelerate automation, infuse AI, refine operating model, improve productivity, and most importantly strengthen the company balance sheet.

Has over 20 years of experience in the ICT Industry, spent the first decade of his career at IBM as a systems engineer, technical sales and later Sales and Sector leader. He then left to co-found Cornastone Technology Holdings in 2000. After years of gathering vast knowledge globally in the IT industry, he returned to IBM and worked as GM for IBM Southern Africa.

Ronnie Wa-Mundalamo has over 17 years of experience in finance in different industries including the ICT sector. Over the past eight years, he has been responsible for managing statutory reporting, management reporting, expenditure, and implementation of IFRS 15 at Vodacom. A thought leader who drives change to transform processes and businesses. He holds a CA(SA), Master of Business Administration (GIBS-UP), B. Compt (Hons) (UNISA), B. Com (UL).

Mr. Sylvester Samuel has been with Gijima for more than three years, focusses on all verticals in both the Public and Private sectors. Areas of responsibility include State-Owned Enterprises, Sales, Outsource Infrastructure Services, and Cloud Business. During his IT career, he has worked for Ubuntu Technologies, arivia.kom, T-Systems South Africa, and Transnet Datavia. He also has a passion for developing businesses along with the ICT skills of the younger generation.

With over 20 years of experience in the ICT sector, Shubna leads the Gijima Technology Solutions business.  As a seasoned technology and business turn-around expert, digital evangelist, and innovator, she has focused on shaping and building markets for the future. Areas of responsibility include SAP, Microsoft, Systems Integration & Mobility across all verticals.  She has been acknowledged as one of the top 50 inspiring women for Science and Technology in South Africa (InspiringFifty 2019) playing a  pivotal role to empower women in technology.

Aranka Verster

Though she joined Gijima in 2004 as HCM Service Delivery Manager at Columbus Stainless, two years later, in 2006, her focus shifted to Gijima’s ICT Skills Development unit. And it is in this area where she has made significant contributions towards developing and enabling many young black South Africans to get certified within various ICT programmes. Aranka has a wealth of experience and a solid track record in Human Capital Management within both the public and private sectors. She holds an honours degree in Industrial Psychology from North West University.

He is a seasoned ICT professional with over 23 years’ industry experience from the private and public sectors, both at strategic and operational levels. He is exceptionally good at getting the best out of employees due to his people skills. He is also customer-focused and results-driven. His qualifications include a master’s degree in Business Leadership (MBL) from UNISA, a master’s degree in Commerce (MCOM) from UJ, a Bachelor of Technology degree (BTech) from TUT, and a National Diploma (Electrical Engineering) from TNT now TUT.

Her passion for reshaping the African Single Story through the business took her to Beijing, where she studied Mandarin, engaged in business culture, and cultivated a deeper understanding of the BRICS initiative from a Chinese perspective.

It put her in a great position in leading a large organisation’s MarComs strategy alongside a young, dynamic team.

Her 30 years of industry experience enable her to manage and monitor Training and Development within Gijima, ensuring it aligns with the Workplace Skills Plans. She also ensures Gijima maintains its current BBBEE status, drives its Employment Equity to ensure alignment with the EE plan, and supports the Group Transformation Officer in implementing Gijima’s transformation strategy. Barbara can build relationships and trust with the business leaders in her area of responsibility and has been a catalyst in helping talent, organisations, and leadership to deliver value to key stakeholders.

Ms. Elisa Makwa is Chief Transformation and ESD Officer. She studied B Proc, MDP, completed legal articles and possesses various certificates in different curricula. She is multi-talented, a qualified and experienced legal eagle, sourcing/procurement specialist, transformation strategist, seasoned negotiator and proven dealmaker with business development pedigree of which are informed by past responsibilities and entrepreneurial acumen. Elisa is responsible and drives (B-BBEE) Group Transformation and Enterprise & Supplier Development.
