Hikvision Fever and Metal Detector walkthrough screening units have been successfully installed at the George Mukhari and Charlotte Maxeke Hospitals. Through the installation of the screening units, Gijima and Hikvision aim to answer the call for early detection of COVID-19 patients.
Gijima and Hikvision South Africa formed a partnership in donating and installing the units at the hospitals, ensuring the units were configured to the hospital’s requirements.
They have been placed at the entrance of the hospitals, viewed as a critical location for high volumes of potentially infected people that need to move through the controlled areas, patients with COVID-19 traits will be detected as they enter the hospital.
These hospitals receive a high influx of patients living in and around Pretoria and Johannesburg, with the George Mukhari hospital in Pretoria receiving patients from three different provinces.
The installations will detect and assist with the curbing of COVID-19.
