Network Centre of Excellence

The Network Centre of Excellence (CoE) is supported by specialists who are experienced in the various product technologies. The focus of this team is on the alignment of technologies to the specific business requirements in the complex, enterprise and complete integrated spectrum of products and services. The CoE team has the technical capability of resolving technical problems and challenges and adds value to clients through the development of innovative solutions. The CoE team is dedicated to the various Networks client accounts and specialises in the following primary and secondary technology areas:

Network Operations

Professional Services - On-site delivery to clients with specific network requirements by certified professionals.

Installations - The installation, configuration and implementation of all Network-related equipment such as Cisco, Nortel, 3-Com, Huawei, Juniper, Enterasys, Hirschman, Proxim, UPS systems and all required infrastructures. The installations, upgrades and integrations are handled by network project leaders and managers.

Cabling - Provides a central, consolidated cabling service to clients that includes the full spectrum from power, voice, data, fibre and wireless, internal and external.

Physical Infrastructure - Networks designs, sells, installs and maintains physical infrastructure inline with the broader ICT spectrum. These products and services include power generators, batteries, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), air-conditioners, false flooring, complete computer rooms, antennas and associated areas.

SMMEs - Management of SMME contracts and services rendered for the successful implementation of network installations and projects.

The MPLS technology is a scalable, flexible technology that provides a generic IP transport for your business traffic, including Voice Over Internet Protocol VOIP. MANAGED WAN and LAN NETWORKS

A highly skilled technical support team provides the management and support of Wide and Local Area Networks. Through our state of the art tool sets, we integrate network monitoring and management with our Command Centre for excellent event, fault and capacity management, ensuring that your network operates optimally and any events are dealt with on a sound managed basis. With the availability of higher speed connectivity solutions on cellular networks, GijimaAst Networks now offers MOBILE CONNECT Services. We will register an APN (Application Provider Network) for you with the mobile operators and through our interconnects, integrate your mobile users into the respective corporate network, either for remote access or for advanced application network, thus extending the mobile workforce connectivity into the virtual office environment.
